30 Days of Less IS More

In the world we live in it always seems like it’s go, go, go. I feel like my life is like a speed watch.  Full speed ahead!  I find myself driving over the speed limit and walking through work like there’s no tomorrow.  Not because I consciously do this but because I think I am programmed this way.

I have recently taken 3 personality tests for work.  I am a type A personality, a Director personality at work, and a Task Oriented (less people) as an employee.  Then when I get home, I shut down.  I am disorganized, and I’m short tempered.  I feel like a failure as a wife and mom, the 2 most important jobs I have.  I have an over the full time job.  My schedule seems like it is never consistent and I never know when I’m coming home.

The kids are only in 1 activity each and my husband plays drums for our church.  He also has a computer company on the side of his full time job that takes up his extra time.  So we are not extensively pulling ourselves in a hundred different directions.

However, I have been overwhelmed lately and felt how in the world can I accomplish everything.  Well I just can’t!  So I have decided to take a step back and rethink how my life needs to work out so I can feel that I am doing what I can without getting frazzled.

I read a post from another blog and their challenge of 31 days of Less & More.  I decided to change the title up a bit to Less IS More.  After challenging myself 30 days of I am hoping to learn how to live less stressfully, take time out for the things that are necessary, and enjoy more life.  I do understand that my job can not suffer and the responsibility it takes, but maybe look at how I am handling those tasks.  Maybe, I need a better approach or maybe there just needs to be more NO’s.  I am a total time management freak at work but at home not so much.  Planning is lacking at home for sure.  I’m stressed before I even step foot out of the house.  And that makes for a crappy day ahead most of the time.

So if you are in need of some encouragement or feel that you could give me some useful tips, please follow along as we challenge ourselves to Less IS More.  Each day I will post on my Instagram and Facebook what I am doing to make life less hectic and will update the blog post as well.  Click on each link below to lead you those life changing habits.
