Here we go!

Ok, so I started this blog about a year ago.  However, I’ve only done a couple of things to it and have never made it known that my blog even exists.  Unfortunately, I have not had the time to tweak it or make it how I wanted it to look.  But the biggest struggle was “what is this blog going to be about?”  Then the Influence Conference 2014 occurred.

On Sept. 25,  I headed to Indianapolis with my friend and neighbor Mandy.  I was so excited and nervous!  This conference was full of inspiring women with businesses and blogs, but more importantly, they were all Christians.   I was nervous because I kept thinking “what is going to be my elevator pitch?”, “what am I about?”, or better yet, “what about my under construction blog?”  I was embarrassed by it.  It wasn’t ready to be viewed.  When we got to the conference to check in, there was my name tag……with my blog name, bowlofcherisblog.com.  My husband Paul registered me and must have snuck it in on the registration form.  Oh well, my thoughts exactly.  I would just tell people that I have a blog, it’s not ready, just not sure of the direction I’m being led to go with it.  Well, that has all changed in a matter of days.  I do know now, and it’s all because God spoke so clearly to me during this conference.  So I talked it over with my husband and we started to disassemble our previous work.  All of the items on the blog that were not relevant to God’s direction were trashed.  At the conference, the slogan was #”it’s time to build”…  Build His kingdom, not mine.  And that is exactly what I plan to do.  I have so many ideas floating around in my head.  Some will be released now, and others will have to wait for later.  I did not realize the huge impact that Influence would have on me, or the wonderful and amazing women I met.  Their lives and stories touched me greatly and I am eager to join with these ladies to share stories of my own that will help build His kingdom.
