I had been planning my moms Mother’s Day gift for awhile. I wanted to do something that she could keep and give her something to use at the same time.
The girls and I made her a cookbook and called it…Cooking On Paulie Rd.
We picked out some of our favorite recipes and got to work. The girls picked recipes for appetizers, main dishes, salads, and desserts. There were 9 recipes used in total. Each recipe contained a special quote too.
I had to get past the messes because well, sometimes it’s ok to make messes!
The girls got a little singing done. Shouting “Let It Go, Let It Go”, of course.
If I told you that there wasn’t any bossing that went on, would you believe me? I didn’t think so! Bailey, caught red handed, being Ms. Mom.
Looking at pics like this of Madelynn, so cute, so innocent looking, it’s hard to believe she’s the sassy pants! LOL!
Bailey loves to be in the kitchen. Always trying to make up some concoction. Madelynn is learning to pull chairs up to counters, pull out stuff from the cabinets, and get her own food from the fridge. However, I don’t enjoy the messes she likes to make and I am definitely not ready for her to start her own “cooking show”.
Even though Bailey is serious in the kitchen, she made sure to make it fun too.
Once we were finished I uploaded the photos to Shutterfly. I ordered the hardback book 8×11. They have awesome templates for cookbooks. I just changed the fonts and colors. I used a coupon code and the cost was $45. I have ordered from Shutterfly for many projects. They usually have some type of coupon if you sign up for email promotions. My coupon knocked off about $14! One of the best things is that the order came in about 5 days. So if you procrastinate like I do, you should not have to worry about getting your item on time.
