My First NFL Experience-Rams Game

On Sunday November 16th we headed up to St. Louis to meet up with our friend Mayur and his girlfriend Ragini.  We were not only excited to go and see our first NFL game but to get to hang out with these two.  Mayur is Paul’s best friend from High School.  He was the best man in our wedding and gave the funniest best man speech.  Mayur would give you the shirt off his back.  He has the biggest heart.  We met Ragini just a few weeks ago.  I was immediately drawn to her personality.  She is funny, beautiful, and is outgoing.  She lives in North Carolina, so they are experiencing a long distant relationship!  Somehow they are managing it and making it work.  We are excited to see what their future holds.

Now back to this game…We met up with them up at Mayur’s house and headed over to the pregame activities.  Do you know that in order to get to a 12:00pm game on time and participate in pregame activities you have to leave like at 7:00am.  On a Sunday!?!  Our first stop was to go to Shady Jacks Saloon.  In Bikers Paradise on Broadway in St. Louis.

First of all this place is like a 10 min walk to the stadium.  No problem other than it was freezing and slightly snowing.  Secondly, it was a biker bar.  I have to say there were no bikers and other than the outside it did not really look like a biker bar.

As soon as we sat down I thought we were going to order some food.  Scratch that…Mayur said “well I don’t think you have time for that”.  I was like what??? Ragani had a smile on her face.  “I was told I couldn’t tell you!”  Tell me what? “It’s a surprise” she said.  Next thing I know I am handed this.

Not only did Mayur give us tickets, but he was able to get 2 tickets for down on the field prior to the game for both Ragini and I.  See Mayur owns his own sports apparel store at several locations in STL.  Check him out at Headz N Threadz.  He has connections with the Cardinals and Rams.

OK well I will stop rambling and show you some of the pics we took.  Reminder…all pics were taken with a phone and are not as high quality as I would like but that’s ok.

We sat right behind the field goal Row P.  Totally awesome seats.  Especially when the ball is headed right for you!

When we stepped outside after the game it had snowed quite a bit and was still snowing.  Totally in love with this pic, and this guy.  I love getting to spend my time with him.  Paul and I are learning that time is going by quickly and that making your marriage a priority after God is necessary. Do you ever feel like your marriage needs to regroup?  Do you ever feel like you and your husband need to reconnect?  Within the last week we started our #lovehabits challenge through our friends Jeff and Mandy’s blog that they have together at dollarsandroses.com.

Join us and several other couples as we are making our marriages a priority.

Even if it means going to an NFL game.

Thanks Mayur for tickets!
