We have nothing to offer Him, so why does He want our broken pieces?

We really have nothing we can offer to Jesus.  He owns it all.  But even though we seem empty handed, He does not forsake us.  He wants everyone of us,… the broken and the scattered.  In Him with His mercy we are mended and whole.  He sets us free.  And…that’s all He wants from us.  To acknowledge that He is God and surrender everything.  He wants us to relinquish our control, and our issues.  He surrendered it all for us, so why does it seem so hard for us to do the same?

We need to allow Him to have control over our life, in our thoughts, actions, fears, and loneliness.  He also wants control over our anxiety and insecurities.  Jesus calls us to follow Him.  ~John 15:16~  Not everyone will have the same plan.  The Bible says in Romans 12:4 that each person has a unique role and we must lead the life that He has called us to. If we fail to do this, and do things that we want to do, things which make us feel good, then we have failed Him and ourselves.  These actions lead to greater loss.  How many times have people done something and later regretted it?  Have those actions in the long term created more issues or suffering?  Probably most of us have at one time or another been in this boat.  Some may have had buyers guilt and purchased things which created unwanted debt.  Maybe thinking that having that item would bring happiness when it only brought struggle.  Others may have been lonely and acted on lust or infidelity to gain a sense of completeness.  Do you know that you can be surrounded by people and still feel lonely?  The Bible says that we are never alone if we truly believe.  God is always there for us no matter what.  Worry, fear, and anxiety is the lack of trust and faith in God.  Can we not trust the Creator of the heavens and earth to provide for our needs?  God’s word also says in Hebrews 13:5-6, “Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have.”  God says He will never leave or forsake you.  The Lord is our helper, do not be afraid.  Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened and I will give you rest.”
